What does signal generation mean?
Signal generation refers to the creation and transmission of a trade signal by an investment manager towards an associated investor. More specifically, a trade signal is a trigger for action, either to buy or sell a financial asset, generated by various forms of investment analysis. The analysis may include the use of technical indicators, or the application of mathematical algorithms based on market action, possibly in combination with other market factors such as economic indicators.
This form of investment management usually entails that the execution of the trade takes place on the recipient’s infrastructure rather than the signal generator’s platform. In our case, we reserve this type of investment service strictly for institutional asset managers and large family offices – not retail investors.
Best suitable for institutional asset managers, established funds of funds and large family offices.
